Women's Health Nurse Practitioner - Hospital Campus
Position Description:
The Memorial Medical Clinic Women's Health Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing medical care to patients, including recording patient medical history, patient evaluation and formulating diagnosis and treatment plans for women's health and other conditions. Consults with Physician Supervisor when appropriate, and follows orders in regard to instructions for the patient and treatments. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures when needed. Responsible for completing physical examinations including pelvic and rectal, where appropriate. Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with appropriate nurse practitioner credentials. Experience in Women’s Health, including Obstetrics and Gynecology is required, and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Women's Health Care is preferred. Must possess current license to practice in the State of Texas by the Texas Board of Nursing. Current Healthcare Provider BLS required. ACLS certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of one year performing an expanded role in the delivery of primary care or at least one year experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred. One year of Labor and Delivery experience as a licensed Registered Nurse required. Similar or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of the requirements listed above.
